Structural Aluminum Malleable Splint is a revolutionary invention in splinting fractures. The splint is made of soft aluminum, padded between two pieces of polyethylene. The use of moldable splint had bid goodbye to the use of wooden splint and heavy limb splints in ambulance/ medical rescue settings.
This splint is light weight, small (11x97cm when opened, 11x8cm when rolled. It is easily shaped according to the shape of the limb and yet tough enough as a support to the injured limb. It is also cost efficient since it can be cleaned and reuse. Best of all, this splint doesn’t interfere X-rays comparing other devices which are made of metals.
This small piece of splint can splint most fracture on the body by pressing it to the desired shape, comparing to those wooden splints/ limb splints which are only suitable for certain designated parts.
